Ash Wednesday Service - The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday. Please make plans to begin your Lenten journey with Imposition of Ashes and Holy Eucharist on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 6:30pm.
Prayer Shawl Ministry—Carol McCullough has had a few individuals express interest in the St. Michael’s Prayer Shawl Ministry. If you like to knit, or would like to learn to knit, (or crochet) and desire to be a part of this ministry, contact Carol at email@example.com or call 504-508-6159.
Adult Sunday School - Thomas Branton will continue his teaching on Death and the Afterlife in Psalms; 9:00am in the Conference Room.
Children’s Sunday School - 10:30am in the Godly Play Room. Children’s Sunday School is in need of help with teachers. You do not have to be a certified teacher in order to teach Sunday School. If you have a child who attends Sunday School or you just love teaching young children, and you could spare one Sunday every 6 weeks, contact Andree Person, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 985-237-4190.
Lenten Wednesday Night Soup Suppers - There is a sign-up sheet on the door in the back of the Church for those who wish to open their homes for the Lenten Wednesday Night Soup Suppers. Host family will provide a light supper consisting of soup, salad & bread. Hose will provide non-alcoholic beverages. Guest who attend are welcome to bring their own wine or other adult beverage. A home Holy Communion will take place before dinner. Consider going in with another person, such as you provide the house, they provide the soup.
Samaritan Center Help—The Samaritan Center, a ministry of St. Michael’s, needs help. They need drivers with a pick-up truck who can pick up food from the local grocery stores on specific day; they also need volunteer help with getting the food and stocking it at the Center.
