Job Opportunities
Part-Time Director for Children & Youth Formation
The Director for Children & Youth Formation at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will be responsible for sustaining a lay-led Christian formation program for young people ages Pre-K through high school. This program will include Christian education, opportunities for service both inside and outside of the church, community-building events and activities, and at least two fund-raising events throughout the year. The Director will work with a Children and Youth Formation Team composed of lay persons who will help with program development as well as act as a volunteer base for execution of the program. The Director will work with the staff of St. Michael’s Church and Preschool to link together opportunities for young people’s growth in service to the wider community, and growth in relationships with God and each other. The Director will receive oversight and leadership development from the Rector of St. Michael’s.
The expectation for a work week is not more than 12 hours, including Sundays, with not more than two evenings per week when necessary. This is a part-time position beginning at $20 per hour. A healthy budget for materials and activities will be provided.
Interested parties should send a resume and cover letter to The Rev. Robert Beazley, rbeazley@stmichaelsla.org
